Mission Statement
The Mission Statement of the Aransas Pass Fire Department is to save lives and property, and to teach the children and citizens in our community about fire prevention and fire safety.

Overview
The Aransas Pass Fire Department responded to more than 700 fire and rescue calls last year. The staff includes 15 employees:
- 1 Fire Chief
- 1 Assistant Chief - Fire Marshal/Fire Inspector
- 1 Administrative Assistant
- 3 Captains
- 3 Driver/Operators
- 6 Firefighters
Shifts
The Captains and Firefighters work a rotating shift of 48-hours on-duty and 96-hours off-duty. The Fire Chief and Assistant Chief work Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.

Annual Events
- The Aransas Pass Fire Department holds Fire Prevention programs for over 2,000 students in the Aransas Pass Independent School District and local daycare facilities. Students are provided fire prevention material which includes coloring books, fire prevention logo pencils, fire safety videos, fire helmets and frequent appearances of "Sparky" the fire dog.
